Upcoming Nantwich sports bar applies to open until 2am at weekends

An upcoming sports bar and restaurant launching in Nantwich town centre this summer, has applied to open until 2am on weekends.

GOAT, located on the corner of High Street and Waterlode, is targeted to open this mid-August, in time for the 2025/26 football season (kicking off on Friday 15 August).

This July, the soon-to-be-opened venue, set to boast over 15 screens, submitted a premises licence application to Cheshire East Council.

Launching the new sports venue is 'OnlyScrans' social media influencer, Jono Yates, from Nantwich, and founder of 'Beauty of the Feast' Instagram page, Sam Hulme, with involvement from landlords of The Leopard, Sam Rock and Gary Evans.

GOAT is targeted to open this mid-August, in time for the 2025/26 football season (kicking off on Friday 15 August) (Ryan Parker).

GOAT Nantwich will open in the former Kennedy's American Diner, which shuttered due to financial challenges in October 2024.

The premises licence application reads: "Notice is hereby given that we, Four Pints Collective Limited have applied on 18 July 2025 to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as Goat, 1-7 High Street, Nantwich.

"This is for a premises licence to provide recorded music and supply of alcohol, Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 12am, Friday and Saturday, 10am to 2am.

"Late night refreshment, Sunday to Thursday, 11pm to midnight, Friday and Saturday, 11pm to 2am."

Representations to GOAT Nantwich's application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Friday 15 August.
