Work has started on a new shop at Nantwich town centre's former B&M unit, with the development earmarked to be a Poundstretcher.
B&M permanently closed down its Swine Market store in Easter 2023, with the unit remaining vacant since.
In May, Nub News exclusively revealed Poundstretcher had listed job vacancies for a variety of roles to open a new store in the town.
Although not officially confirmed, it is highly likely this unit, recently dropped by rivals Poundland, will become a new Poundstretcher.
A Poundstretcher sales assistant advert for Nantwich reads: "We are looking for motivated colleagues to maximise sales by providing a high standard of service to customers.
"This is through good product knowledge, effective stock replenishment and presentation whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
"As we rapidly grow, we need committed people to be part of our success.
"We are offering four-hour contracts with expected overtime; you must be flexible with regards to working hours as there will be different shifts involved.
"We offer good rates of pay, a busy environment and great opportunities for progression."
As of 2024, Poundstretcher has over 400 UK stores, with its closest to Nantwich at The Market Shopping Centre in Crewe.
