B&M permanently closed down its Swine Market store in Easter 2023, with the unit remaining vacant since.

In May, Nub News exclusively revealed Poundstretcher had listed job vacancies for a variety of roles to open a new store in the town.

Although not officially confirmed, it is highly likely this unit, recently dropped by rivals Poundland, will become a new Poundstretcher.

Poundstretcher sales assistant advert for Nantwich reads: "We are looking for motivated colleagues to maximise sales by providing a high standard of service to customers.

"This is through good product knowledge, effective stock replenishment and presentation whilst maintaining a safe working environment.

"As we rapidly grow, we need committed people to be part of our success.

"We are offering four-hour contracts with expected overtime; you must be flexible with regards to working hours as there will be different shifts involved.

As of 2024, Poundstretcher has over 400 UK stores, with its closest to Nantwich at The Market Shopping Centre in Crewe (Ryan Parker).

"We offer good rates of pay, a busy environment and great opportunities for progression."
