Nantwich pub apples to expand licence area into external shed

A Nantwich pub has applied to expand its licensable area into an external shed, following its continued success.
On Thursday 27 February, owner of The Royal Oak, Daniel Hesketh, submitted a premises licence on behalf of Worleston venue.
Set in the quiet South Cheshire village, The Royal Oak underwent a complete restoration three years ago, re-opening in Spring 2022.

The country pub boasts a 70-seat dining/function room, a hand-built curved bar, a wood-fired pizza oven, and two outdoor summer pavilions.
Set within four acres, The Royal Oak has a beer garden with outside bars and a children’s play area.
In January, The Royal Oak was rewarded with a five-star food hygiene rating. Now it wants to expands its licensable area further.
The Royal Oak's premises license application reads: "Notice is hereby given that I, Daniel Hesketh have applied on 27th February 2025 to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as Royal Oak, 94 Main Road, Nantwich.
"This is for a full variation to extend the licensable area to include an external shed."

Representations to The Royal Oak's application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Thursday 27 March.
