MP's delight as more national chains eye up opening in 'beautiful' Nantwich
By Ryan Parker 4th Feb 2026
Nantwich MP, Connor Naismith, has expressed his delight at more national chains looking at opening in "beautiful" Nantwich, believing it can only be a positive for the the town.
In recent months, it has been confirmed Starbucks will be opening its first ever coffee outlet on High Street in Nantwich, with clothing chain, White Stuff, also set to open in the former NatWest bank.
Further to that, Costa Coffee will also be opening its second Nantwich branch inside Sainsburys, with a Greggs and Burger King development recently approved at Morrisons Petrol Station, Station Road.
In an exclusive interview with Nub News, Mr Naismith said: "I think it's a testament to all the positive work Nantwich Town Council and others do to make Nantwich book the trend of the national decline of high streets.
"When you go into Nantwich, it's a beautiful town with a beautiful high street, it has lots going on and it's great to see national chains and businesses recognising that work.

"They are putting their money where their mouth is and investing in the town.
"Nantwich is known for having high-quality small independent businesses and that's great.
"But, having a nice mix of national chains that are more recognised can only be a good thing for the long-term vitality of the town.
"I really welcome seeing the likes of White Stuff and Starbucks investing in Nantwich and want to see more of it if possible."
