Plans for a new Burger King and Greggs at a petrol station in Nantwich, have been approved by Cheshire East Council.

Motor Fuel Group (MFG), will demolish the existing car wash at Morrisons Petrol Station, Station Road, for a single storey extension to the existing sales building, including the two 'food to go' counters.

The UK's largest forecourt operator will construct an additional extension to the southern end of the petrol filling station kiosk, set to be taken on by Greggs, open 6am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and 7am to 4pm, Sunday.

MFG's already approved extension to the north of the kiosk will be operated by Burger King, Nantwich's first ever burger chain.

Burger King will open 11am to 11pm, Monday to Sunday, creating up to 30 new jobs (CEC Planning).

MFG also has permission to construct a new EV charging zone with EV canopy, substation enclosure, five jet wash bays, plant room, and associated works.

A Cheshire East planning officer said: "The proposed development relates to a main town centre use, which would be sited within Nantwich Town Centre.

"The proposed development is considered to be acceptable in principle.

"The design is considered to be appropriate and complies with the relevant Development Plan policies and there would be a neutral impact upon the setting of the Listed Buildings and Conservation Area.

Greggs will operate at the Nantwich petrol station, 6am to 6pm, Sunday (Google).

"The development would not have a detrimental impact upon residential amenity (this includes noise, odour air quality and contaminated land).

"The proposal is considered to be acceptable in terms of its highways implications and complies with the Development Plan as a whole."
