Fun in a Field For a Fiver

In 2015 an idea was formed to provide a not for profit open air picnic concert to the local community, to make sure that everyone had the opportunity to experience live music at a price they could afford. Local bands (including the famous "Wayne and The Hairy Peaches") agreed to perform for free and "Fun in a Field for a Fiver" was born.

Ten years on, the venue has changed due to the closure of The Cotton Arms, but thanks to Berries Cafe, it has a new home for 2025.

Nothing else has changed; there will still be eight hours of live music from 2pm to 10pm for just £5 (accompanied children under 12 free) and if you bring your own picnic then there's nothing else to pay. Berries will be open if you wish to buy food and drink, and there will be a reasonably priced BBQ on site.

Wristbands are available now from Berries, or can be purchased on the gate, and whilst the intention is just to cover costs, any profit will be split between Wrenbury School, The Wingate Centre and The Parish Church.

Saturday 21st June - 2pm to 10pm

The weather forecast is good, so bring a chair or a rug and have a whole afternoon of fun, for just a fiver!
