Retirement Village brings Scotland to Nantwich for Burns Night

Richmond Villages Nantwich is preparing to host a Burns Night Supper Club later this January, inviting visitors from the local community to join residents for an evening of traditional Scottish food and celebration.

The event will take place at the village on 27 January at 6pm, with tickets priced at £25 for visitors.

The evening is being coordinated by Jane‑Ann Stubbs, Head of Activities, and Anthonie Van‑Rooyen, Head of Hospitality, with support from Village Manager, Lynne Griffin.

Guests will be served a drink on arrival, followed by a three‑course menu featuring classic dishes associated with Burns Night.

Starters include cock‑a‑leekie soup and smoked salmon with pickled cucumber, tattie scones and horseradish cream.

Main courses on offer are haggis with neeps, tatties and whisky sauce, or a vegetarian option of Rumbled Thumps with potatoes, swede, savoy cabbage and cheese sauce.

Desserts will include cranachan and clootie dumpling with custard, with Gaelic coffee rounding off the evening.

The village team is encouraging early booking due to expected interest. Reservations can be made by calling 01270 629 080.
