Pop sensation Sophie Ellis-Bextor is heading to Nantwich this autumn, with the singer, songwriter, and all-round performer now visiting Applestump Records on the new date of Sunday 14 September.

Sophie will be at the Nantwich record store between 5pm and 6pm to celebrate the release of her brand new album, Perimenopop, with fans having the chance to meet her in person and get their records signed.

Nantwich is one of 10 UK record stores Sophie will be visiting this September, with the South Cheshire town the smallest place on the list.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be at Applestump Records between 5pm and 6pm to celebrate the release of her brand new album, Perimenopop, with fans having the chance to meet her in person and get their records signed (Sophie Ellis-Bextor).

Applestump Records is a proudly independent vinyl shop, relocating from 12 Barker Street to 4 Oatmarket before Friday 12 September.

Perimenopop, Sophie's much-anticipated eighth studio album, is a vibrant celebration of self-expression and confidence, capturing the joy and freedom of knowing exactly who you are.

Featuring hit singles like Freedom of the Night, Relentless Love, and Vertigo, the album marks a triumphant return to Sophie's signature dance-pop sound.

Sophie rose to fame in the early 2000s with disco-pop classics like Murder on the Dancefloor and the chart-topping Groovejet (If This Ain't Love).

Since then, she's carved out a unique place in British pop culture with her distinctive voice, genre-blending albums, and lively performances, including her beloved Kitchen Disco livestreams during lockdown.

Beyond music, Sophie is a devoted mum of five and married to The Feeling bass guitarist and songwriter, Richard Jones.

She is also a podcast host, memoirist, and regular face on British television.

Founder of Applestump Records, Steve Cook, said: "One thing that I am really proud about on this is the company we're keeping on the tour - such as HMV on London's Oxford Street.

"Seeing Applestump up there with the biggest record shop in the country and Nantwich alongside London, Birmingham, Manchester and the likes, really feels like we're doing our bit to put our town on the map. It s genuinely really exciting.

"We have always believed music can bring people together, and moments like this are what it's all about. It's going to be such a fun day – we can't wait to welcome everyone."

Founded during lockdown by Steve and his wife Danielle, Applestump Records has grown from a tiny online store into a thriving music hub, hosting in-store gigs, special signings, and bigger live events across the region.
