New food and drink festival at Bridgemere hailed huge success

A brand new food and drink festival hit the sweet spot in Nantwich this weekend attracting more than 1,200 visitors to the stunning Bridgemere Show Gardens.

In the first event of the season, visitors enjoyed a fantastic line-up of celebrity chefs, street food, artisan produce, live music and entertainment.

Some of the highlights include Rustie Lee who brought a taste of the Caribbean to Cheshire with her vibrant dishes and spicy cocktails.

Diddly Squat Farm showcased some of their most sought-after produce and there were sizzling BBQ masterclasses from Pit Boss and Weber.

Visitors were also given full access to explore the award-winning Bridgemere Show Gardens which are in full bloom right now.

Blue Diamond's Group Events Manager Rebecca Gurnett says: "Our first ever food festival was everything we hoped for and more.

"The beautiful backdrop of Bridgemere Show Gardens provided the perfect setting for a weekend of fabulous food, entertainment and family fun.

"It was wonderful to see so many people coming out with their families and friends and really enjoying everything our festival had to offer. It's the first of many events we've got in store this year."

Next to look forward to is Adam Frost's Gardening Talk on September 11.

The award-winning designer and BBC Gardeners' World presenter will share a highly personal account of his career followed by an audience Q&A and book signing.

This is followed by Step-by-Step Live with David Domoney on September 11 and 12. This live masterclass is packed with practical advice to help you grow a blooming garden.

On September 12, Bridgemere Show Gardens will host a Gardening Talk with Francis Tophill in which she will share planting inspiration and expert advice.

There will be a Children's Halloween Trail in October half term and Pumpkin Carving with Simon McMinnis on October 26 and 31.
