Nantwich school to celebrate 150 years with community summer fair

Wrenbury Primary School is inviting the local community to join a special summer celebration, marking 150 years at the heart of village life.
The Nantwich school's 150th Anniversary Fair will take place on Saturday 11 July from 12pm to 4pm, promising a packed afternoon of family entertainment, live music, traditional games and community celebration.
The event will celebrate the school's history from 1876 to 2026, bringing together former pupils, current families, staff, governors and local residents.
Visitors can enjoy:
- Bouncy castle
- Bottle tombola
- Licensed bar
- BBQ
- Raffle
- Lucky dip
- Tin can alley
- Hook a duck
- Cake stall
- Pokémon cards stall
- Maypole dancing
- Live music from The Sunshine Boyz
- 150 years of Wrenbury school story tent

Headteacher, Rebecca Charlesworth, told Nub News: "Wrenbury Primary School has been such an important part of our village life for 150 years and this fair is a chance for everyone to come together and celebrate that history.
"We're looking forward to welcoming past and present families for a really special day."
Wrenbury Primary School is encouraging former pupils and staff to attend and share their own memories as part of the anniversary celebrations.
The event is open to all.
