Two Nantwich residents were safely evacuated from their homes, following a serious outbuilding blaze on a residential street in the town.
On Saturday 14 March, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to an incident on Blagg Avenue.
At 1.12am, two fire engines from Crewe and Nantwich arrived at the scene, discovering an outbuilding up in flames, spreading to nearby properties.
South Cheshire firefighters used two reel jets to tackle the blaze for several hours, with local residents brought to safety.
No injuries were reported in the incident. One property sustained fire damage to an external doorway.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Fire crews were called to an outbuilding fire which was spreading and affecting nearby properties.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to tackle the fire while two people were safely evacuated from their homes by the crew.
"Crews carried out checks using the thermal imaging camera across several homes near to the fire and used the high-pressure fan to clear the smoke inside.
"One property sustained fire damage to an external doorway, but no fire was reported inside any of the properties.
"Firefighters remained at the scene for several hours turning over the ground and ensuring all hot spots were dampened down.
"No injuries were reported, everyone was accounted for."
