Nantwich cocktail bar applies to extend weekend opening hours

A Nantwich town centre cocktail bar and distillery has applied to extend its weekend opening hours, as well as allowing children into the venue until 6pm.

On Thursday 27 February, Three Wrens Gin Ltd submitted a premises licence on behalf of The Nest, Pepper Street.

Launching in July 2024, The Nest has a fully working on-site distillery, sophisticated cocktail bar, gin school, and gift shop.

Founder and distiller of The Nest and Three Wrens Gin, Nick Wadeson, wants to keep the venue open until 11pm on Friday and Saturdays (The Nest).

Now established in Nantwich town centre, founder and distiller, Nick Wadeson, wants to keep the Nest open until 11pm on Friday and Saturdays and 10pm on Sundays.

Currently, The Nest is open 12pm to 10pm (Wednesday to Saturday) and 12pm to 6pm (Sunday).

Mr Wadeson wants to allow children into the venue until 6pm, when accompanied by an adult.

The Nest's premises license application reads: "Notice is hereby given that we, Three Wrens Gin Ltd have applied on 27 February 2025 to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as The Nest, 16 Pepper Street, Nantwich.

"This is for a for a full variation to provide the following activities:

"Amend the closing time on Friday and Saturday from 10pm to 11pm and live music, Wednesday to Sunday, 12pm to 10pm.

"To allow children into the venue when accompanied by an adult until 6pm.

Launching in July 2024, The Nest has a fully working on-site distillery, sophisticated cocktail bar, gin school, and gift shop (The Nest).

"Amend recorded music and supply of alcohol closing time on Friday and Saturday from 10pm to 11pm."

Representations to The Nest's application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Thursday 27 March.
