Nantwich residents are coming together this weekend for an "uplifting" recording of a service at Richmond Villages, marking an important Easter celebration.

The event, set for Saturday 1 March at 1.30pm, will be led by Rev'd Brian Statham, of St Mary's, Nantwich, with hymns performed by the Methodist Singers.

The Cat 107.9FM will be present at the St Josephs Way village to record the service, which will later be broadcast on Easter Sunday.

As part of the special service, former deputy head teacher of Crewe Grammar School for Girls, Rosemary Johnson, will be reading a Bible lesson for the broadcast.

The service is expected to draw a large crowd, with local community members, church representatives, and Richmond Village residents all eager to take part.

Richmond's marketing and activities coordinator, Jane-Ann Stubbs, and village manager, Lynne Griffin, have played key roles in organising the event.

Jane-Anne said: "The Sunday service is always very well attended, both by residents and members of the local community.

"Everyone is very much looking forward to this uplifting and meaningful occasion."
