Local man, 19, arrested in South Cheshire knife offence

A 19-year-old local man has been arrested, after Cheshire Police discovered a knife during a stop and search in a Nantwich village.
On the evening of Saturday 4 July, officers from Crewe Response Patrol were deployed to an incident in the Acton area.
On arrival, they observed a male acting "suspiciously" and detained him for a search.
A knife was recovered during the search, and the man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place.
The suspect remains in police custody.
Nantwich Police said: "The 19-year-old from Acton remains in police custody."
