Fire crews tackle field blaze in South Cheshire village

Fire crews tackled a field blaze in a South Cheshire village, with no one believed to have been injured.
On Monday 25 August, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of an incident on Longhill Lane, Audlem.
At 7.42pm, one fire engine from Audlem arrived at the scene, discovering a field well-alight.
Audlem firefighters used a hose reel and a beater to extinguish the flames.

The cause of the blaze is believed to be accidental.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters used one hose reel and a beater to extinguish a fire on a field in Audlem.
"A thermal imaging camera was used to check the area for hotspots."
