Two fire engines from Nantwich and Tarporley swiftly arrived at the scene, as well as the rapid response rescue unit from Tarporley.
Leaking diesel from the heavy goods vehicle was controlled by firefighters.

At around 11.30am that day, Cheshire Police confirmed the section of Nantwich Road had now reopened.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a heavy goods vehicle.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus gained access to the trailer to inspect the cargo and used an environmental grab pack to contain leaking diesel.
