Nub News is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Sales Executive to join our growing team at our head office on Crewe Business Park.

This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary dependent on experience, plus an uncapped commission structure and the opportunity to build a rewarding career within one of the UK's fastest-growing local news networks.

As a Sales Executive, you'll play an important role in supporting independent local journalism by working with businesses across the UK and introducing them to the benefits of becoming sponsors and advertisers on one of our many Nub News websites.

Every new partnership helps us continue delivering trusted local news to communities across the country.

Working in a supportive and friendly office environment, you'll receive full training and ongoing development, giving you the opportunity to grow your skills and progress your career.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Speaking with local businesses across the UK about advertising and sponsorship opportunities
  • Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline through follow-up calls, referrals and prospecting
  • Managing customer relationships using Salesforce CRM
  • Working towards and exceeding sales targets and KPIs
  • Building long-term relationships with local businesses and helping them promote themselves within their communities

What we're looking for

We're more interested in attitude than experience. If you're motivated, enjoy speaking to people and are eager to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication skills and a confident, friendly telephone manner
  • A positive attitude and strong desire to achieve results
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM software is an advantage, but full training will be provided
