A woman has been hospitalised following a serious crash in a Nantwich village, where her car overturned.

On Thursday 24 September, Cheshire Police were alerted to an incident on Wrenbury Heath Road, Wrenbury.

Just after 7pm, emergency services arrived the scene, discovering a one-vehicle collision.

The driver of the vehicle, a woman, was supported by North West Ambulance Service paramedics and taken to Leighton Hospital.

She is expected to make a full recovery. No arrests were made in the incident.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "On Thursday 24 September, police were called to a collision on Wrenbury Heath Road, Wrenbury.

"Shortly after 7pm, officers attended and found there had been a collision involving one vehicle, which had overturned.

"The driver of the car was taken to Leighton hospital as a precautionary measure.

"Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
