A couple of Nantwich's most loved venues have made it into the Campaign for Real Ale's (CAMRA), Good Beer Guide for 2025.

It's the UK's best-selling beer and pub guide and can point avid beer lovers seeking the nation's best pints in the right direction.

In its 52nd edition - two Nantwich venues have been honoured, which are:

The Black Lion, Welsh Row. Nantwich's oldest pub dating back to 1664 is a regular feature in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide's, the Guide references the pub's real fire – a top seller especially for the colder months.

The Crown Hotel Bar and Grill Nantwich, High Street. The black and white Grade I-listed building has made the Guide's list once more and has been praised for its relaxed lunchtime atmosphere – with the evenings typically becoming livelier.

Alex Ellwood, manager of The Crown said: "It's always great to be included because it shows that you're looking after the beer and selling the right stuff.

"It's a group effort, somebody's ordering the beer, somebody's cleaning the lines, somebody's choosing it, good team effort all-round.

"It's a nice honour."

The Black Lion declined to comment to Nantwich Nub News.
