Telford woman charged after kicking police officer in face in Nantwich

A Telford woman has been charged with the assault of an emergency worker, following a late night incident in Nantwich.
On Sunday 24 August, Cheshire Police on patrol in Nantwich town centre witnessed the woman assaulting an unknown male in Swine Market.
At 4.25am, when being detained, the woman kicked an officer to the chest and face and was arrested for the offence.
Ruby Sharkey, 18, of Portley Road, Telford, has since been released on conditional bail to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 16 October.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "An 18-year-old woman has been charged after a police officer was assaulted in Nantwich.
"Ruby Sharkey was arrested on Sunday 24 August in Swine Market, Nantwich, and has since been charged with assault of an emergency worker.
"Sharkey, of Portley Road, Telford, has since been released on conditional bail to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 16 October."
