Suspected drink driver charged following overturned car crash in Nantwich

A suspected drink driver has been charged with multiple offences after crashing his Vauxhall Corsa into two parked cars on a Nantwich residential street, causing his vehicle to overturn.
On Saturday 16 May, emergency services were alerted to an incident on Davenport Avenue.
At around 8.30pm, a grey Vauxhall Corsa smashed into gold Volkswagen Golf and a black Vauxhall Corsa, causing it to overturn.
The driver of the grey Corsa, a 32-year-old Nantwich man fled the scene on foot.
He was located and arrested 20 minutes later, following an incident involving police officers.

Nantwich Police said: "Officers attended a road traffic collision on Davenport Avenue at approximately 8.30pm on Saturday 16 May.
"A 32-year-old man from Nantwich, identified as the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, was arrested around 20 minutes later.
"He has since been charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer.
"One count of obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty and one count of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control.
"He has also been released under investigation in relation to a further seven offences.
"This includes drink driving, failing to stop following a road traffic collision and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
"Our enquiries remain ongoing."
