SureCare Central Cheshire is always looking for new ways to care for its clients and keep everyone safe, healthy, and comfortable at home.

The Nantwich home care service has introduced the Whzan Blue Box, a simple, portable digital health toolkit, helping its care team keep a closer eye on people's wellbeing.

The Blue Box allows our carers to take key health readings such as heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen levels.

These readings are used to create a quick National Early Warning Score (NEWS2), the same system used by the NHS to spot early signs that someone's health might be changing.

This means SureCare can pick up on small changes sooner, get the right help more quickly, and keep family informed.

SureCare has been using the Blue Box to monitor the stats of its clients in a few different ways.

For some, it is working alongside other healthcare professionals to reduce hospital admissions. With others, it's helping them to get home from hospital quicker, monitoring their health signs at home.

Each Blue Box contains a tablet and Bluetooth health tools connecing securely to a cloud system, allowing SureCare's team, and where appropriate, GPs or family members, to review up-to-date information.

SureCare's Registered Manager, Sarah Castelow, said: "Our adoption of Whzan Digital Health demonstrates our commitment to integrating technology with compassionate, person-centred care.

"It allows us to provide proactive support, enhance wellbeing, and giving families peace of mind.

"The Blue Box is a great support to all of our clients, particularly those that have live-in care packages and have a dedicated box for their sole use."

As well as monitoring vital signs with clients, SureCare has been using the Blue Box in the community.

Senior Carer, Lauren Doherty, said: "It's been brilliant to meet those in the local community and use the Whzan Blue Box to encourage those who are putting off booking a check-up with the GP to get them booked in."

For more information, or to speak to SureCare's team about any of its services, contact Registered Manager, Sarah Castelow, on 01270 667288, email: [email protected] or visit HERE.
