Family-run luxury travel business 'proud' to open new shop in Nantwich
By Ryan Parker 14th Mar 2026
A family-run luxury travel business opens its third branch in Nantwich on Saturday 14 March, bringing bespoke luxury holidays to Nantwich's historic Queen's Aid House.
Independent agency, Global Travel & Cruise, founded in 2001 by Sarah Meadowcroft and her mother Isobel, began as a homeworking agency specialising in luxury travel.
With the business inspired by Sarah's upbringing travelling the world, the duo's first shop opened in their hometown of West Kirby, The Wirral, in 2003.
In 2025, Global Travel and Cruise, now managed by Sarah and her daughter Laila, launched a second branch 10 miles away in Neston, Cheshire, as part of a new expansion strategy.
The new Nantwich branch launches with an open day at 10.30am, with visitors able to meet the team, enjoy a free glass of bubbles, chat about dream holidays, and explore special opening offers.

Co-founder, Sarah, told Nub News: "We started Global Travel with my mum as a homeworking agency. Our background is luxury travel, and I spent much of my childhood in the US and Thailand, staying in branded ultra-luxury hotels.
"When we looked at the North West, we identified a gap for that level of hospitality and service.
"We're completely independent and take care of our customers. Every holiday is tailor-made, and we would never send anyone somewhere we wouldn't go ourselves.
"I do expedition travel myself, including Antarctica twice, and my daughter Laila does it too, so adventure is in our DNA."
Sarah, who says Nantwich felt like the "perfect location" for their third branch, loves South Cheshire town that much, she decided to move here.
Built shortly after the Great Fire of Nantwich in 1583, The Queen's Aid House is a three-storey timber-framed building steeped in history, with its name reflecting the aid given by Queen Elizabeth I to help rebuild the town.

Sarah said: "Our business development manager Helen, who lives in Nantwich, said I'd love it here, and she was right.
"There's a real independent traders' feel and a strong sense of community, that's why we are opening Global Travel & Cruises here.
"Queen's Aid House has so much history, which I wanted to be a part of, and Nantwich always been very independent.
"That's really resonated with me, and I'm proud we can now bring our service here, all while benefiting Nantwich.
"Everyone here has been so friendly while we have bene getting things ready. We can't wait to meet you Nantwich."
Nantwich's new Global Travel & Cruise team includes local staff Lishia, Alex and Gemma.
The 41 High Street store is open 9.30am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday, offering luxury and adventure holidays from high-end hotels to tailor-made expeditions.
