A Shropshire man has been released on bail, following a fight at a bar in Nantwich over the weekend.

On Saturday 19 September, Cheshire Police were alerted to an incident at a venue on High Street.

At 4.38pm, officers arrived at the scene, discovering an altercation had taken place.

A 32-year-old male from Shrewsbury was arrested on suspicion of affray.

He has since been released on bail, with enquiries ongoing.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 4.38pm on Saturday 19 September, police were called to reports of an altercation in High Street, Nantwich.

"A 32-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray and has since been released on bail."
