A popular pilates studio has relocated from the edge of Nantwich to the town centre, making the business more community-based.

Saffron Amber's Fitness (S.A.F) Pilates Studio launched at Burford House, Beam Street, on Tuesday 6 January, after relocating from The Yard in Burland.

Run by Crewe resident, Saffron Baldwin, S.A.F Pilates Studio offers mat and reformer classes, with a new barre class planned for the near future.

Saffron told Nub News: "I was located on the outskirts of Nantwich in a shared studio space and wanted to move to the centre of town, making it easier to get to and more community-based, like being able to get your shopping or a coffee nearby afterwards.

"I trained in dance for three years and did pilates as part of that course, with my graduation year in 2020.

"I have been teaching dance for years and It got to a point where I really missed the pilates side of it so did my mat training and have now been teaching mat pilates for five years.

"At S.A.F Pilates Studio, we offer reformer beginner and intermediate classes, as well as mixed-ability mat classes.

"I also do private groups for special events like birthdays, as well as one-to-ones.

"From February, I am hoping to launch a barre class alongside pilates but I am not advertising for this yet as things are still being sorted."

Saffron got the keys to the two-room Nantwich premises in early December, managing to convert the former office space in just over a month.

The Nantwich business owner said: "I got the keys for this premises on 2 December and got everything ready for 5 January, which was a fairly big job.

"With the help of family, I managed to get everything sorted to open in that time, I am so happy everything my vision came together for the place so quickly.

"This week we had 89 clients and I am hoping to build on this. I have a capacity of 160 so there is plenty of growth to come.

"A lot of clients have followed over from Burland, with lots of new faces too - which is great to see.

"I have a lot of people from Nantwich, Crewe and some from the wider South Cheshire area, which is really lovely. Location-wise this place is so much more convenient.

"Sometimes the classes are more popular than others due to clients' other commitments, but things are going really well and it's been a great start since relocating to the centre of Nantwich."
