A person has been taken to hospital following a two vehicle crash in Nantwich.

On Sunday 16 August, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to an incident on Cheerbrook Road, Willaston.

At 3.40pm, emergency services arrived at the scene, discovering a grey Jaguar and an orange Vauxhall Corsa had collided with one another.

One person sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Crewe and Nantwich firefighters assisted the casualty out of their vehicle before handing them into the care of North West Ambulance Service paramedics.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crews were called to a collision involving two cars.

"Firefighters assessed one casualty and assisted them out of the vehicle before handing them into the care of paramedics for further checks.

"Police were also in attendance to close the road and manage traffic."

Cheerbrook Road was cleared by 5pm, with no arrests made.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "Police attended and found there had been a collision between a grey Jaguar and an orange Vauxhall Corsa.

"There were no reports of any serious injuries, and the scene was cleared by 5pm."
