Out-of-control car blaze spreads to house and garage in Nantwich

A Nantwich house has been damaged after an out-of-control car blaze spread to a property and garage in a late night incident.
On Saturday 26 July, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Turnham Green Drive, off Reaseheath Way.
At 2.11am, one fire engine and a Rapid Response Rescue Unit from Nantwich and one fire engine from Crewe arrived at the scene.
Crewe and Nantwich firefighters discovered a blaze that had originated in a car had spread to the a nearby dwelling and garage.

Fire crews use two hose reel jets to put out the flames, as well as carrying out checks in the roof spaces of two houses.
No one was injured in the incident, with the car sustaining serious damage and Turnham Green Drive buildings sustaining moderate damage.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crews were called to a fire that originated in a car and spread, causing damage to a garage and neighbouring property.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
"Crews also carried out checks in the roof spaces of two houses using a thermal imaging camera to ensure there were no remaining hotspots."
