Plans have been submitted for new a wine bar and deli in Nantwich town centre, replacing a 52-year-old business which occupied the unit until this summer.

On Wednesday 5 September, applicant, Mr Darren Long, of Edwards of Nantwich, proposed a change of use from a shop to a cafe/wine bar at 4 Pillory Street.

The proposed Edwards Wine Bar/Deli will take on the former Rodney Densem Wines shop, which permanently closed in June.

Mr Long wants to install an additional toilet within the new Edwards Wine Bar/Deli, along with the painting of the exterior frontage (Cheshire East Planning).

The last date for submitting comments on the application is Wednesday 9 October, with a target decision date of Thursday 31 October.
