Plans have been submitted for new a wine bar and deli in Nantwich town centre, replacing a 52-year-old business which occupied the unit until this summer.
On Wednesday 5 September, applicant, Mr Darren Long, of Edwards of Nantwich, proposed a change of use from a shop to a cafe/wine bar at 4 Pillory Street.
The proposed Edwards Wine Bar/Deli will take on the former Rodney Densem Wines shop, which permanently closed in June.
Operated by Margie, Simon, Paraskevi and Steve, Rodney Densem Wines said: "Since our establishment in 1972, your unwavering support has been the heart and soul of our business.
"Together we have shared countless moments of joy, laughter and fine wine.
"To each and every customer who walked through our doors, thank you for being part of our story.
"Cheers to the memories, the camaraderie, and the legacy of Rodney Densem Wines."
Mr Long wants to install an additional toilet within the new Edwards Wine Bar/Deli, along with the painting of the exterior frontage.
The last date for submitting comments on the application is Wednesday 9 October, with a target decision date of Thursday 31 October.
