New shop set to open in Nantwich's historic Queen’s Aid House
By Ryan Parker 15th Feb 2026
A family-run luxury travel business is set to open in one of Nantwich's most historic town centre buildings.
Global Travel & Cruise is currently renovating 41 High Street, the Grade II listed Queen's Aid House, ahead of launching its new branch in the coming weeks.
Built shortly after the Great Fire of Nantwich in 1583, the three-storey timber-framed building is steeped in history, with its name reflecting the aid given by Queen Elizabeth I to help rebuild the town.
The independent company, which has more than 25 years' experience in luxury travel and cruises, is led by three generations of women.
Founded by mother-and-daughter duo Sarah and Isobel, it is now managed by Sarah and her daughter Laila.

Work is currently under way to carefully restore and refresh the historic unit, blending its original character with the firm's five-star travel expertise.
Global Travel & Cruise said: "When we first set eyes on 41 High Street, it wasn't just a building, it was love at first sight.
"As a female-led business, we felt an instant connection to its story. To be the custodians of such history is a true honour.
"This beautiful, historic building is full of history, grace and stories waiting to be told.
"We can't wait to restore her to her full glory and make her our new home in Nantwich."
The Nantwich shop will be the company's third Cheshire branch and will specialise in luxury holidays, cruises and bespoke experiential journeys.
