New 66-bed residential care home proposed for Nantwich
By Ryan Parker 7th Apr 2026
Plans have been put forward for a new 66-bed residential care home for older people in Nantwich, creating up to 50 full-time jobs.
Applicant, LNT Care Developments, has submitted full planning for the erection of a two-storey care home, along with associated car parking, landscaping and ancillary buildings, off Reaseheath Way.
These plans come after LNT recently proposed a new neighbouring local centre development on Nantwich's Kingsbourne estate, anchored by a Co-operative food store and a second unconfirmed retail unit.
The new Nantwich care home, providing single-room accommodation, would be made of red brick and be sized at 3400m² over two floors.
A planning statement reads: "It is proposed to develop the site to provide a new purpose-built, two storey, 66 bed residential care facility for older people alongside the local centre development, subject of a separate application submitted by LSP Development Ltd.
"The LNT Care Developments have delivered a series of care homes specifically for the care of older people in a number of locations including Yorkshire, the Midlands and the south of England.

"LNT Construction has considerable experience in the development of care homes, having constructed numerous care homes for their sister company Crystal Care and other operators across the UK.
"The facility will be fully compliant with the National Care Standards Act 2000, providing single-room accommodation, with en-suite facilities and a more than suitable ratio of communal/recreational space per resident together with level/amenable access throughout.
"The proposed care home would be of red brick with render and grey weatherboard cladding construction with brick detailing.
"In total the care home development will provide 3400m² over two floors, providing an attractive and appropriate community building on this site.
"The neighbouring local centre application, submitted concurrently with this application, includes two units (Unit 1 Convenience Store 4,300sqft and (Unit 2 2,500sqft – use yet to be determined) and associated parking, servicing, public square and community garden.
"The outline approval included the provision of a local centre across both sites (local centre and care home sites) due to changes in the retail market there is no demand for the whole site for local centre uses.
"The proposed development will bring with it important economic benefits to the local economy in terms of employment opportunities and investment in construction.
"The care home will provide between 40 to 50 full-time equivalent jobs ranging from the Home Manager, a series of Care Workers, through to Catering and Domestic Assistants."
The last date for submitting comments is Tuesday 21 April, with a target decision date of Wednesday 17 June.
