The annual Poppy Appeal will officially launch in Nantwich on Saturday 25 October, as the Nantwich & District Branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) takes to the town square for a day dedicated to remembrance and fundraising.
From 10am to 4pm, volunteers from the branch will be running their Poppy Appeal stall in the heart of Nantwich, raising funds and awareness for veterans, serving personnel, and their families.
The stall will also return to Nantwich town square on Saturday 1November (10am to 2pm), and Saturday 8 November (10am to 2pm), giving residents and visitors several opportunities to show their support.
Visitors to the square will find the traditional paper poppies alongside a range of other items, including car poppies, enamel pins, and wooden crosses - all serving as visible symbols of remembrance and gratitude.

Adding to the occasion on 25 October, members of the Royal British Legion Riders Branch will make a one-day visit to Nantwich, arriving on the town square at around 4:15pm in a special motorcycle cavalcade to show their support for the appeal.
The launch marks the start of the Remembrance season in Nantwich. In the lead-up, local RBL volunteers have been busy distributing poppy collection boxes to schools, shops, and supermarkets across the area, ensuring the emblematic red poppy is visible throughout the town.
The red poppy's origins trace back to John McCrae's First World War poem In Flanders Fields, which described the flowers growing amid the graves of fallen soldiers - now a lasting emblem of remembrance and hope.
A spokesperson for the Nantwich & District Branch of the Royal British Legion told Nub News: "The Poppy Appeal is a vital part of our mission to honour those who have served and to support those who continue to serve.
"Every donation, no matter how small, makes a genuine difference to veterans and their families. We are deeply grateful for the continued generosity and compassion shown by the people of Nantwich each year."
The Royal British Legion, the UK's largest Armed Forces charity, provides lifelong support to over two million veterans and their loved ones.

Funds raised during the Poppy Appeal help deliver essential services, from housing and financial advice to mental health support and rehabilitation.
The Poppy Appeal builds towards Remembrance Sunday, when the Nantwich community will once again gather to pay tribute to those who served. This year's Remembrance Parade and Service will take place on Sunday 9 November, beginning at 10:30am from Nantwich Civic Hall and proceeding to The Square, where the Act of Remembrance will be held at the War Memorial.
The ceremony will include a two-minute silence, wreath-laying, and music from the Cheshire Constabulary Band.
