A popular independent French bistro in Nantwich has applied to extend its opening hours, as well as its seating area and bar space.

Café De Paris, Chapel Court, Hospital Street, has submitted a new premises licence application to Cheshire East Council.

Offering authentic French food, coffee and wine, Café De Paris is wanting to expand its offering in Nantwich,.

Currently open until 4pm (Monday to Saturday) and 2.30pm (Sunday), Café De Paris has plans to offer late night refreshment, live music and the supply of alcohol as late as midnight at weekends and 11pm in the week.

The French-themed café will do this by expanding into adjoining premises at 2 Chapel Court.

Café De Paris' premises licence application reads: "Notice is hereby given that I, Mr Oliver Rowland have applied on 21 August 2026 to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as Cafe De Paris, 3/4 Chapel Court, Hospital Street, Nantwich.

"This is for a full variation licence to extend the existing licensed premises to include the adjoining premises at 2 [Chapel Court], internally connected to the existing premises at numbers three to four, providing additional customer seating and bar/service space.

"Live music, Monday to Saturday, 9am to 11pm and Sunday, 9am to 10pm.

"Recorded music and supply of alcohol, Monday to Thursday, 9am to 11pm, Friday and Saturday, 9am to midnight and Sunday, 9am to 10pm.

"Late night refreshment, Friday and Saturday, 11pm to midnight."
