Nantwich's St Mary's Church hosted a fundraising Christmas tree festival as part of the town's Christmas lights switch on, which displayed a bedazzling 54 trees.

The enchanting festival returned for a second year in a row and is a key event for raising funds for the vital work of St Luke's Hospice.

Each of the trees, ranging between four and six feet tall, were sponsored by a local business, who decorated the trees and put them up on show for the duration of the festival.

There was no shortage of festive cheer, as the event ran alongside the town's annual Christmas lights switch on – which attracted thousands and sported a wide range of market stalls, live music and community spirit.
