The reopening of a major road by a bridge in Nantwich town centre, closed one-way since 18 May has been pushed back.

Welsh Row is now closed between Saint Annes Lane and Waterlode/High Street junction until Friday 29 May.

This 129-metre stretch of road is closed for urgent Scottish Power energy works.

The works were originally targeted to be completed by Saturday 23 May.

Vehicular access is being maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.

The alternative route is via Welsh Row and Waterlode (past Malbank School and Sixth Form College) back towards the town centre.

If you have any enquiries relating to the works, contact Scottish Power on 0330 101 0250.
