The funeral of a "much-loved" Nantwich high school headteacher is set to be held at a 14th-century church in the town, taking place later this month.
David Cole, of Brine Leas Academy, sadly died unexpectedly at his home in Willaston, aged 52, on Sunday 28 April.
His funeral will be taking place at St Mary's Church on Wednesday 29 May, starting at 1:30pm.
Family flowers are requested only. Donations are desired to be sent to The British Heart Foundation and The Tank Museum in Bovington.
After joining the Nantwich school in 2000, David took over as headteacher in January 2019 - a role he continued until his sudden passing.
A W Burrows & Son statement read "It is with the utmost sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected loss of David Cole at home in Willaston, aged 52 years.
"David is the beloved Husband of Nicola, much-loved father of James and Edward and the dearest son of Kath and the late Mike,
"He is the dear son-in-law of Pat and Alan, a loved brother-In-Law of Katy and Jonathan and by marriage Steve and Charlotte, and dear Uncle to Matt and Tom.
"David is a much-missed and respected headteacher and colleague at Brine Leas School, Nantwich and the wider Cheshire East Education Authority, where he was held in such high esteem.
"Loved and missed by so many, David's Funeral Service will take place at St Mary's Church, Nantwich, on Wednesday 29 May, at 1:30pm."
