Firefighters deployed to Nantwich care home following 'reports' of smell of smoke

Firefighters were deployed to a Nantwich care home this afternoon (December 10) following a reported smell of smoke, with no signs of fire found.

On Tuesday 10 December, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of the smell of smoke at Clarendon Court Care Home, Beechwood Close, Stapeley.

At 1.13pm, one fire engine from Crewe arrived at the scene, using a thermal imaging camera to check the area,

Thankfully, no signs of fire were found at Clarendon Court Care Home, with no flames to put out (Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service).

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to reports of the smell of smoke and used a thermal imaging camera to check the area.

"No signs of fire were found."
