Fire crews tackle cooker hood blaze at South Cheshire property

Fire crews tackled a blaze in the kitchen of a South Cheshire property, coming from a cooker hood.
On Thursday 13 March, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service recieved reports of an inciedent on Main Road, Wybunbury.
At 4.25pm, two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the Wybunbury home.
Crewe firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish a cooker hood.

They then used a high pressure fan to used to clear smoke from the area.
No one was injured in the incident, with only the cooker hood sustaining severe damage.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish a cooker hood on fire in Wybunbury.
"A high pressure fan was then used to clear smoke from the area and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots."
