A new Christmas charity album has been released to raise vital funds for one of the UK's busiest animal centres, RSPCA Stapeley Grange in Nantwich.

Christmas Tails, available now exclusively on Bandcamp, is the latest community arts project coordinated by Crewe musician and artist Mark Sheeky.

The album brings together a dozen bands and musicians from across South Cheshire and beyond, all performing under the collective name The Electric Sprout Foundation.

Each contributor has written and recorded an original Christmas song especially for the release, spanning genres from folk and pop to rock.

All proceeds go directly to Stapeley Grange, which provides essential care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife, as well as cats and kittens in need of new homes across Cheshire, North Wales and surrounding areas.

With just four RSPCA wildlife centres nationwide, Stapeley Grange plays a crucial role, and every album purchase helps sustain its rescue work.

Featured artists include Andrew Williams, Fall in Green, Glyn Roberts, John Lindley, John Miller, Nastee Chapel, Paul Parish, The Forrest Dick Band, The Shaw Sisters, We Are Nomad, and Sheeky himself.

The album is available until 31 January 2026 and has already raised more than £100 for the centre.

Album organiser, Mark Sheeky, told Nub News: "Christmas Tails is a joyful celebration of our local music scene, created to help the animals and brilliant team at Stapeley Grange.

"Every download makes a real difference, so I'd love everyone to pick up a copy, enjoy some brand-new festive songs, and support a fantastic cause this Christmas."

Several of the musicians involved will also perform at the upcoming Stapeley Grange Christmas Fair on Sunday 7 December (12pm to 5pm) at the centre on London Road.

Fundraising progress is being tracked via a publicly viewable online ledger HERE.

The project follows the success of Sheeky's 2023 charity album Snow Business, which raised funds for local homeless charity LATH.
