Driver rescued after Nantwich garage collapses following crash

A driver was rescued from their vehicle in Nantwich after crashing into his own garage, causing it to collapse and leaving them trapped.
On Monday 13 April, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to an incident on Brown Avenue.
At 3.45pm, one fire engine from Nantwich arrived at the scene, discovering a domestic garage roof and side wall had partially collapsed.
Nantwich firefighters swiftly rescued the driver who was stranded inside the vehicle.
They were left uninjured in the incident, with the vehicle sustainiung moderate damage.
The Nantwich garage has been cordoned off until it is assessed by professionals.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Fire crews were called to help someone stuck in their vehicle after a collision caused part of their garage roof and side wall to collapse.
Firefighters helped them out safely and they were thankfully uninjured.
"A cordon has been left in place around the affected garage until the damage can be assessed by professionals."
