Class B drugs seized during warrant at 'idyllic' village property near Nantwich

A quantity of Class B drugs was found during a police warrant at a property in a village near Nantwich.

Officers carried out the warrant at an address in Burleydam at around 7.30am on Wednesday 16 September.

Police said the operation was a reminder that drugs can affect rural communities as well as urban areas.

A Nantwich Police spokesperson said: "Unfortunately, no part of our community is completely free from drugs, even our more rural and idyllic areas.

"The impact of drugs can be devastating, not only for those directly involved, but also for their families, friends, neighbours and the wider community."

Police are urging anyone with concerns about suspected drug-related activity to report it.
