Balearic beats bring Ibiza vibes to historic Nantwich venue

Music lovers were transported to the White Isle as a 'Yarden Party' Balearic disco lit up the outdoor space at Nantwich's Ebenezer's Craft Beer & Gin on Saturday 25 April.
The Castle Street event drew an appreciative crowd who soaked up warm spring sunshine while enjoying a laid-back soundtrack provided by Hermanos del Sol.
Their set took attendees on a musical journey inspired by the spirit of Ibiza, blending a range of sounds to create an uplifting and relaxed atmosphere.
Balearic music, which originated in Ibiza and the wider Balearic Islands during the 1980s, is known for its eclectic mix of styles including house, disco, funk, soul, reggae and Latin influences.
Rather than sticking to a single genre, DJs focus on mood and flow, a hallmark of the island's famous nightlife scene.
The venue itself boasts a rich and varied history. The Castle Street building dates back to 1857, when it first opened as Ebenezer's Methodist Chapel.
Over the decades it has served as a cinema under various names, including the New Picturedrome and the Cosy Cinema, before later becoming a nightclub.
Ebenezer's occupies part of the former Studio Nantwich complex, with its bar located in what was once the attic space and its cellar housed in the old projector room.
