Nantwich Police recorded 42 crimes and made four arrests during the week of 7 to 13 June, according to the latest figures released by the town's neighbourhood policing team.

A total of 108 incidents were reported across Nantwich and the surrounding rural area over the seven-day period.

Violence and harassment accounted for the largest proportion of incidents, followed by domestic-related reports, concern for safety calls and suspicious activity.

Of the 42 crimes recorded, there were 10 assaults, including six assaults without injury, nine public order offences, four harassment offences and three incidents of criminal damage to motor vehicles.

The highest number of crimes was recorded in Nantwich South and Stapeley, with 14 offences.

Nantwich North and West recorded 10 crimes, while Wybunbury had six. Five crimes were reported in both Wrenbury and Bunbury, with two recorded in Audlem.

Police made four arrests during the week. The suspects were all male, aged between 23 and 50.

Two were from Nantwich, with one from Crewe and one from outside Cheshire.

The arrests related to offences including assault, malicious communications and failing to provide a breath sample for analysis. T

hree individuals were released on conditional bail, while one person was charged.

Alongside responding to incidents and investigating crime, officers also took part in a number of community engagement events and meetings across the area.

Officers attended events including Cops on the Square, Bunbury Village Day and the RSPCA Stapeley Grange Summer Fair, as well as meetings with parish councils, education providers and local organisations.

Nantwich Police said: "While responding to incidents and investigating crime remains a key part of policing, building strong relationships within our communities is just as important."

Police said officers will continue to maintain a visible presence across the area during Neighbourhood Policing Week and Drowning Prevention Week, encouraging residents to raise any local concerns with them.
