General Election 2024: Labour leading in Crewe and Nantwich, Nub News poll suggests

Labour could take over in Crewe and Nantwich come July 5, according to the results of a Nub News General Election 2024 poll.

The independent survey of Nub News newsletter subscribers found 41.8 per cent of readers would vote for Labour's Connor Naismith, if the election was held today.

This poll also indicated Reform UK had taken over The Conservatives in South Cheshire, achieving over one quarter of the vote.

Reform UK candidate for Crewe and Nantwich, Matt Wood, came second in the Nub News poll (Matt Wood).

Reform's candidate, Matt Wood, achieved 25.13 per cent, a huge rise from the 2.6 per cent he received in the 2019 general election.

Ben Fletcher of the Conservatives, came in third, receiving 16.4 per cent. This was a decrease of 36.7 per cent from Kieran Mullan MP's 2019 victory.

The Tories were followed by Monster Raving Loony Party's Lord Psychobilly Tractor, who received 5.56 per cent.

Meanwhile, The Green Party's Te Ata Brown was close behind on 4.5 per cent of the vote.

Nothing could split Matthew Theobald's of the Liberal Democrats and Brian Silvester of Putting Crewe and Nantwich First, who were both tied on 2.9 per cent.

Results also showed Workers Party of Britain candidate, Paul Lane, had 0.79 per cent of the vote.

Conservative Party Crewe and Nantwich candidate, Ben Fletcher, came in third, receiving 16.4 per cent (Conservatives).

  • Te Ata Brown (Green Party) - 4.5 per cent
  • Brian Silvester (Putting Crewe and Nantwich First) - 2.9 per cent
  • Matthew Theobald (Liberal Democrats) - 2.9 per cent
  • Phil Lane (Workers Party of Britain) - 0.79 per cent

Crewe Nub News polled 378 newsletter subscribers between 3:15pm on Wednesday June 12 and midnight on Thursday 14 June. Readers were only able to register a single vote for one of the eight candidates. Results were not weighted demographically.
