Crewe and Nantwich has been issued a yellow weather warning due to strong winds from Storm Éowyn.

The yellow warning means that some damage to buildings, power cuts, flying debris and travel disruption are all possible.

The Met Office - which issued the warning - said there was a chance of medium impact, but that this was a 'low likelihood'.

The warning will remain in place until 11.59pm today (Friday 24 January).

The wind is such that the temperature feels like 1°C - although the actual temperature this morning is around 7°C

An amber warning is in place from the north side of Manchester.

Much stronger winds are expected in parts of Scotland and Ireland. The Met Office has issued a red warning for these areas.

The Met Office advises securing loose items left outside, and planning before you travel.
