Work begins on new 210-pupil primary school in Nantwich

Work on a new primary school in Nantwich has officially commenced on Monday 16 June, with an opening date set for September 2026.
Kingsbourne Academy, located on the Kingsley Fields housing development, will offer modern and stylish classrooms for its 210 pupils, providing a hands-on approach to learning.
The new school will also provide an array of outdoor learning provisions, as well as an athletics track, multi-use sports field and a kitchen garden.
The school will open as a one form entry to Reception age children. Each year a new cohort of Reception children will be accepted, resulting in a full school by September 2031.

Cheshire East Council said: "Exciting news for Nantwich. Construction has officially started on Kingsbourne Academy, a brand nee 210-pupil primary schol opening in September 2026.
"With modern classroms, outdoor learnig and sports facilties, it is a huge step forward for local families."
The construction for Kingsbourne Academy is being led by North West-based Conlon Construction.
Cheshire East Council will start accepting applications in September 2025. In the meantime, parents can register interest and ask questions by visiting HERE.
