Two men arrested after attempting to steal from Nantwich home carrying 'bladed article'

Two men from Stoke-on-Trent have been arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal, possession of a bladed article and affray, following an incident in Nantwich.
In the early hours of Monday 28 April, Cheshire Police were alerted to a potential break-in in progress at a property in the Highfields area, close to Barony Park.
Police quickly located the men, leading to a short foot chase across garden fences where they were soon detained and arrested.
Both males were arrested for the listed offences, with officers finding bolt croppers at the scene.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Two males were arrested on Monday 28 April in the Nantwich area, after reports of a potential break-in in progress.
"Patrol officers from Crewe Response unit were deployed to the estate near the Barony in Nantwich, and the two male suspects were sighted.
"After a short foot chase and scaling fences, the males were detained.
"Both males, from the Stoke area, were arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal, possession of a bladed article and affray.
"Items of interest including bolt croppers were located."
