Two casualties and 'full evacuation' following Nantwich village pub kitchen fire

A Nantwich village pub was fully evacuated with two causalities reported, following a kitchen fire over the weekend.
On Sunday 4 October, emergency services were alerted to an incident at The Boars Head, London Road, Walgherton.
At 4.49pm, two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene, discovering the blaze had already been put out.
Crewe firefighters checked the area for signs of fire spread, using a high-pressure fan to ventilate the commercial premises.
Both people were assessed by North West Ambulance Service paramedics. They are expected to make a full recovery.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a fire in the kitchen of a commercial premises in Walgherton.
"The fire was out on arrival, and a full evacuation of the building had taken place.
"The area was checked for signs of fire spread, and a high-pressure fan was used to ventilate the property.
"Two casualties were assessed by paramedics at the scene."
