Richmond Villages Nantwich and Richmond Villages Willaston recently sponsored and hosted a craft and refreshment stall at the Nantwich Show, with proceeds donated to a local cause.

The Nantwich Show is a large agricultural event which brings the community together and hosts different stalls and activities.

The two Richmond Villages worked together to host a stall at the show, showcasing crafts residents had made, as well as offering drinks and cake and sharing information on the retirement villages.

Village manager at Richmond Villages Nantwich, Lynne Griffin, told Nub News: “The event was brilliant, we were so delighted to participate in it.

"I am so proud of our team and what we achieved with our stall. Everyone was overwhelmingly enthusiastic and happy to be there, it was a great show of the community spirit in Nantwich.”

The stall included a raffle with prizes donated by businesses in the local community to help raise funds for Growing Health Community Garden in Nantwich.

The raffle raised a total of £281 to donate to the community garden.

Village manager at Richmond Villages Willaston, Michelle Barret, said: “We are so pleased we could raise almost £300 for the community garden, it is a fantastic place for families, friends and individuals to come together in Nantwich.

"We are looking forward to attending the show again next year.”
