Wych-Malbank (Nantwich) Rotary Club recently celebrated its seventh birthday with its annual "Big Birthday Bash" at Richmond Villages Nantwich, raising over £7500.

Richmond Villages were one of the major sponsors for the evening, along with Headline Sponsors Hibberts Solicitors, The Andrew Connolly Practice and Afford Bond.

The evening started with cocktails, sponsored by Nantwich Gin and Salon Vie and were followed with a three course meal all accompanied by the music of Alisdair Mackenzie on saxophone and clarinet.

This year's beneficiaries of the £7640 raised are two local charities, St Luke's Cheshire Hospice and The Nantwich Christie Hospital Support Group (Supplied).

Next came an auction of "Things Money Can't Buy," including a private tour of Nantwich Platers Theatre and the chance to create your own Snugbury's Ice Cream flavour.

£7640 was raised for two local charities, St Luke's Cheshire Hospice and The Nantwich Christie Hospital Support Group.

Angela Slack from St Luke's said: "What a brilliant amount to raise, this will make such a difference."

Organisers, Clare Hoy, Jo Lowry and Jennifer Newton were all delighted at how successful the night had been.

Clare said: "We could not do this without the generosity of so many people all of whom have contributed to helping us raise so much money.
