Acclaimed opera singers to perform candlelight concerts in Nantwich

On Saturday 2 May, St Mary's Church, Nantwich will open its doors to an evening of candlelit music, where hundreds of candles will illuminate the beautiful venue for two exceptional concerts of the highest quality.
Both concerts will last for 70-minutes each and feature some of the country's most acclaimed classical musicians in a mixture of crossover and traditional works.
Vivaldi Four Seasons - Candlelit Concert, is a celebration of one of classical music's most beloved masterpieces.
The performance features the ever-popular, Northern String Quartet, alongside renowned pianist, Jason Ellis, and award-winning opera singers.

It includes Handel's most famous and beautiful pieces including Eternal Source of Light Divine (performed at Royal Wedding of Harry and Meghan) and music from the Messiah.
The first concert of the evening is an Italian Candlelit Concert – Pavarotti's Favourites, filled with operatic arias and popular classics, including Nessun dorma, O mio babbino caro and even The Godfather theme.
Meet the Artists:
Sam Marston – Tenor
Sam Marston is an award-winning tenor who has performed extensively across the UK with companies including Opera North and Royal Opera House. He was recently awarded the Most Promising Singer prize at The Grange Festival.
Jennifer is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and has performed across the UK and Europe, including performances with Opera Verona, Wexford Festival Opera and has upcoming projects with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.
A renowned group with over 20 years experience in the entertainment industry. They have worked for BBC, ITV, Netflix and BBC Radio including collaborations with London Symphony Orchestra.
Jason performs solo and chamber ensemble recitals and accompanies regularly on the concert platform across the country. Jason has performed at Wigmore Hall, St George's Hall and the Royal Academy of Music.
With St Mary's illuminated entirely by candlelight, this promises to be a breathtaking and memorable musical event.
Italian Candlelit Concert starts at St Mary's Nantwich, The Rectory, at 6:30pm, with Vivaldi Four Seasons starting at 8:30pm.
